Maintenance Scheduler

The Opportunity:
We are looking for a Maintenance Scheduler to join the Maintenance & Utilities Operational Services Department (M2U) team at Broadmeadows. This team provides essential support services to the manufacturing facilities and M2U departments at site which includes maintenance planning, scheduling, and management, major facility shutdown coordination, engineering stores management, general site facility maintenance, drawing Office services for the site including project, baseline and GxP drawings, Maintenance systems (SAP, Permits, etc) administration and data management, and General administration services for the M2U departments.

You will generate and maintain weekly schedules for the maintenance activities with the goal of optimising the use of maintenance resources and minimising plant downtime.

This is a permanent opportunity based at our Broadmeadows site.

The Role:
Reporting to the Planning & Support Manager, you will:

- Manage the service/maintenance of equipment at the manufacturing facility.
- Develop and optimize schedules for all maintenance trades (Mechanical, Refrigeration, Electrical & Instrumentation).
- Collate and publish schedule compliance data.
- Chair meetings to acquire maintenance windows and review schedules and notify system owners/maintenance engineers to amend/rectify PM tasks.
- Stay informed about plant outages and seek maintenance opportunities and continuously improve the scheduling process based on production changes.
- Analyse and collate maintenance activities into optimized weekly schedules, integrate PM Work Orders, unscheduled work, and immediate requests with plant shutdowns.
- Inform all concerned parties about plant/equipment shutdowns and changes.
- Monitor and report on schedule compliance, and initiate improvements.

**Experience**:

- Bachelors' in science, mechanical, electrical, or chemical engineering or a post-trade technical qualification suitable for the role.
- 5+ years of experience in trade/engineering-related activities, with a broad appreciation of mechanical, refrigeration, electrical, and instrumentation activities and the associated resource requirements.
- Experience in scheduling or planning maintenance activities in a processing plant using modern computer-based planning systems, including CMMS (Computerised Maintenance Management Systems).
- Good technical, analytical, and communication skills.
