**About the Opportunity**

Kingston Human Capital has been engaged by a leading government department to engage a highly experienced
**Solution Delivery Manager** to join their team to lead the delivery of project initiatives and manage the DevOps pipeline.

This role will manage the delivery of priority projects and system enhancements within defined technical release cycles, in partnership with delivery partners (software), maintenance product team, infrastructure team and other departments that manage key system integrations.

This role will lead and manage a team of PMs, BAs and other technical staff delivering high quality work, within a maturing DevOps environment based on Prince 2 + Agile methodologies.

**Key responsibilities include**:

- Lead, direct and monitor project activities to completion.
- Manage project and technical team resources, vendors, and partners.
- Develop and deliver initiatives to meet project key deliverables
- Establish and maintain project plans and schedules
- Manage project risks, issues and stakeholders
- Create & implement complex project definitions, schedules & budgets
- Provide status reports to management
- Identify emerging issues and provide high level, expert, advice
- Manage requirements for Minimum Viable Product (MVP) solutions
- Leverage innovations in digital tools and ways of working
- Coordinate with vendors, suppliers, & other key internal stakeholders
- Develop tranche plans, SOW, review contract terms and conditions and perform vendor negotiations when needed.

**To be successful in this role, you must demonstrate extensive experience in**:

- Extensive experience in project management
- Experience software development or design
- Successful track record of managing and delivering complex initiatives
- Prince 2 and Agile methodologies

**Personal Attributes**:

- Background in business & IT with extensive experience with the SDLC
- Ability to lead, motivate & coach project and technical teams
- Excellent customer facing & communications skills
- Established leader with well-developed influence & management skills
