APS6 Project Support Officer

**Your new company**

This Federal Government Department is working at the forefront of leading Australia's response to Climate Change and sustainable energy use, and protecting our environment, heritage and water. Currently, they are seeking an APS6 Project Support Officer.

**Your new role**

You will join a collaborative team that works to strengthen our management of chemicals, to prevent pollution and further protect against hazardous substances by implementing sound frameworks. You will come onboard to assist the Project Manager with a range of functions across BUA project work relating to the broader project goals.

As you will be engaging and collaborating with both internal and external stakeholders, well-developed communication skills and the ability to foster professional relationships are a must.

**What you'll need to succeed**

To succeed in this role, you will display the ability to analyse technical information, perform assessments and produce recommendations for review. As well as this, you will have:

- Previous experience working for the Federal Government at the APS6 level
- Demonstrated experience in environmental assessment, and ensure compliance with relevant legislation
- Provide advice to internal and external stakeholders that will guide projects and programs
- Well-developed written and verbal communication skills
- Previous experience in procurement will be highly desirable but not essential for the role.

To be considered for this role, you must be an Australian Citizen and have the ability to obtain and maintain a Government Security Clearance at the Baseline level or higher.
