**About the Role**
As a Development Manager at Growthbuilt, you will take the lead in driving the development lifecycle of projects from concept to completion as the key contact for the consultant team. This includes leading planning approvals, designs to tender, feasibilities, sales and marketing, and ensuring the successful delivery of residential and mixed-use developments. You will manage project teams, liaise with external stakeholders, and provide strategic guidance to deliver projects within scope, on time, and within budget.
This is a key opportunity to join a newly established team and gain hands-on experience in all stages of development. You will also be responsible for financial modelling, sales and marketing, construction oversight to ensure successful outcomes.
**Responsibilities**
- Develop and implement the development strategy and design brief.
- Oversee and manage Development Applications (DA) through to tender, ensuring compliance, timely approvals, and alignment with project goals.
- Develop and manage detailed feasibility reports, financial modelling, and analysis to inform strategic decisions and recommendations.
- Build and maintain financial models in Excel, including Discounted Cash Flow (DCF) models, and use Estate Master to assess the financial feasibility of projects.
- Supervise and liaise with external valuers to ensure accurate and comprehensive property valuations.
- Manage key project elements, including consultant and contractor engagement, design and planning meetings, and coordination of project control group (PCG) meetings.
- Prepare and lead monthly project meetings with Growthbuilt’s senior management team.
- Ensure all development activities align with Growthbuilt’s Quality, Safety, and Environmental Management System, maintaining compliance with industry standards and company policies.
**About You**:
- Minimum of 7 years’ experience in development manage, mentor a related field, with a strong focus on financial modelling, feasibility assessments, and project management.
- Expert in Excel, with advanced financial modelling skills (DCF and Estate Master), and a strong understanding of development feasibilities and project finances.
- Proven experience in managing the full lifecycle of development projects, from acquisition to delivery, including knowledge of planning processes and funding. Multistorey residential experience is a must.
- Tertiary qualification in Property, Development Management, or a related field. Practical experience in development management is highly valued alongside formal qualifications.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to engage and manage internal teams, external consultants, contractors, and stakeholders.
- A proactive and strategic approach to problem-solving, with the ability to address challenges and lead projects to successful outcomes.
- Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and prioritise tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
