**Our Team**

Our Above Water Systems team designs and engineers commercial and naval ships - as well as providing in-service support capabilities. We’re proud to bolster Australia’s sovereign capability through operational support to our Navy. With ongoing training programs and a team of over 500, our people have room to grow and move as they make a meaningful contribution to Australia’s Defence.

**The Role**

As a **Subcontractor Manager**, you will be responsible for engaging and managing subcontractors to ensure the successful delivery of program requirements. You will work within an integrated team to develop cost-effective, high-quality, and timely solutions while maintaining contractual compliance. Your role will also involve vendor performance management, continuous improvement initiatives, and stakeholder collaboration.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Oversee the Request for Pricing (RFP) process, ensuring value-for-money solutions.
- Evaluate subcontractors and allocate tasks based on cost, capability, and compliance.
- Manage vendor performance to drive efficiency and continuous improvement.
- Work with Procurement and Program teams to negotiate contracts and resolve disputes.
- Ensure compliance with Australian Industry Content (AIC) requirements and security regulations.
- Maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support project success.

**What You’ll Need**
- Qualifications in Procurement, Project Management, or a related field.
- Experience in contract management, vendor negotiations, and procurement processes.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess subcontractor performance.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Ability to work independently and under tight deadlines.
- Technical background (Electronics/Mechanical) is highly desirable.

International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) apply, and your nationality may impact your eligibility for this role.
