We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Accounts Payable Officer to join a local city council. The position will involve working in a fast-paced environment to ensure a high volume of financial transactions are processed accurately and efficiently.

Start: ASAP

Length: 2 months approximately (temporary role)

Hours: Full time role (Monday
- Friday with flexible work arrangements)

**The Role**
- Accurate processing of all invoices and purchase orders in a timely manner
- Address any customer queries and liaise with internal and external stakeholders to resolve complaints
- Strong numeric accuracy required to verify codes and manage large volumes of financial transactions
- Maintain accurate records of account transactions, PO numbers and invoices
- Provide feedback and suggestions on how the efficiency of the AP process could be improved

**Experience Required**
- Experience as an Accounts Payable Officer or general accountancy background (Essential)
- Ability to utilise Microsoft Office Suite, Tech One or similar software
- Experience processing a high volume of financial transactions
- Excellent written and verbal communication with keen attention to detail and time management skills
- Ability to work self-sufficiently with little supervision
