We are seeking an enthusiastic and versatile Ocean Kayak Tour Guide and Private Group Tour Guide to join our epic team full time.

This role is perfect for someone who loves the ocean, wildlife, enjoys working with people, and has a deep appreciation for the environment.As a tour guide, you will lead guests on our renowned dolphin view sea kayak tours, whale watching ocean kayak tours, as well as personalised private tours at one of Australia’s most beautiful National Park locations, only accessible with 4x4 vehicles driving along the beach.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Lead Kayak Tours: Guide guests on our kayak tours, sharing your knowledge of local marine life, flora, and fauna.
- Safety Management: Maintain the highest standards of safety, conducting equipment checks, monitoring weather conditions, and briefing guests before each activity.
- Engage and Educate: Deliver exceptional customer service by engaging guests with local stories, environmental insights, and friendly, approachable guidance.
- Equipment Maintenance: Assist in the upkeep and care of kayaks, surfboards, safety gear, and cars.

**Experience Requirements**:

- Must have at least 5 years of experience working as a tour guide
- Must have experience in 4x4 beach driving
- Must have experience driving with a trailer
- Must have ocean experience
- Must have open ocean or white water kayak experience
- Must have excellent communication and customer service skills
- Must be physically fit
- Must have knowledge of local marine life, ecosystems, and environmental conservation with willingness to learn more

**Licenses & Certificates Requirements**:

- Must have a Blue Card
- Must have their Bronze Medallion for open water rescue and survival skills, CPR and first aid.
- Must have an Australian MR Driver's License
- Must have their QLD Driver's Authorisation or an interstate equivalent
- Must be fluent in English
- Fluent in Dutch and/or German would be a large bonus

Pay: From $74,000.00 per year

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Every weekend
- On call
- Overtime
- Public holidays
- Rotating roster
