Our Federal Government client is seeking to engage a Compliance Officer on a contract for 6 months with potential extension.
**Position Overview**
Activities will predominantly include assessing compliance of identified registered early stage venture capital limited partnerships (ESVCLPs), venture capital limited partnerships (VCLPs), and Australian fund of funds (AFOFs) across target areas against legislative requirements and undertaking compliance action to address identified non-compliance.
Activities may also include:
- analysing compliance trends across ESVCLPs, VCLPs and AFOFs;
- preparing summary documents of compliance across programs;
- developing communications material to inform and educate partnerships about areas of non-compliance;
- undertaking compliance activities on emerging issues across partnerships; and
- contributing to the priorities of the venture capital section as required.
The Compliance Officer will be expected to operate at the equivalent of an APS6 level and will be required to interpret and assess legislation and confidential financial and legal documentation including partnership quarterly and annual returns, share sale agreements and audited financial statements.
Skills required for the positions include excellent written communication, attention to detail and the ability to analyse data and relate it back to specific legislative requirements.
