
Marketing Executive

We're looking for someone who is passionate about news and quality journalism and has an audience-first mindset. You will play a critical role in shaping our brand marketing initiatives, connecting with existing and new audiences, and developing audience-focused campaigns that drive subscription and revenue growth. As part of our Brand Planning team, you'll work with iconic Australian brands such as The Australian, The Metro and Regional Mastheads plus new brands to help shape their future growth.
**What’s the role?**
- Nurture existing audiences and identify new audiences through consumer insights and research.
- Assist in the development and implementation of brand marketing initiatives that are audience-focused and aligned with business goals.
- Use consumer insights to develop targeted campaigns and initiatives across The Australian, Metropolitan and Regional Mastheads plus new products that resonate with our target audiences.
- Work collaboratively with the wider marketing team to deliver campaigns across multiple media platforms.
- Manage the delivery and execution of brand campaigns across all channels, ensuring consistency across all touchpoints.
- Plan and execute partnerships initiatives, including ad-hoc requests as directed by the Senior Marketing Manager.
- Support the wider marketing team in relationship management with a range of stakeholders, agencies, and external vendors.
- Assist with creative development, media schedules, and reporting during campaign periods and present analysis back to key stakeholders.
- Provide general support to the marketing team as needed.
**Who are you?**
- Experience in marketing or similar role with a focus on audience-first thinking and strategy.
- Experience working with insights and data to inform campaign strategy and optimise performance.
- Track record of successful management of large, complex, and concurrent campaigns/projects with a focus on understanding and engaging target audiences.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to craft compelling messaging and stories that resonate with consumers.
- Excellent organisational and project management skills, with an ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work collaboratively and cross-functionally with teams from across the organisation, including sales, partnerships, editorial, and product.
- Creative thinking and problem-solving skills, with a focus on finding new and innovative ways to engage audiences and achieve marketing objectives.
