Perth Racing is the premier thoroughbred racing club in Western Australia, operating both Ascot and Belmont Park Racecourses. The Western Australian Turf Club (trading as Perth Racing) has an iconic history of hosting thoroughbred racing in WA for over 160 years. **About this Role**

This is a permanent full-time role from Monday to Friday, with some flexibility required to work Saturdays during our Carnival Season.

The opportunity would suit someone who has a passion for the events industry and wants to further their career in a fast-paced venue. You will interact with numerous departments and teams on a daily basis and be a part of a team who play a vital role in delivering the best race-day and non-race-day experience for our for guests, stakeholders and customers of Perth Racing. Reporting to the Events Manager you will:

- Co-ordinate all activities in the Mounting Yard and Winner’s Enclosure prior to race-day, including trophies and presentations
- Manage trophy inventory whilst being responsible for ordering and upkeep of trophies for the year
- Plan, co-ordinate and manage the execution of race-day bookings in our restaurants and/or private function rooms, Directors Lounge and non race-day functions where needed
- Assist with general office management duties as directed.

**Skills and Experience**
- Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in Events and Hospitality
- Demonstrated experience in organising events, workshops and functions
- Basic Knowledge of Racing industry desirable but not necessary
- High level organisational skills including the proven ability to set priorities, manage variable workloads and show initiative, flexibility, good judgment and discretion
- High level of oral, written and interpersonal communication skills and ability to work as an individual or as a member of a team, together with the ability to work effectively and with mínimal supervision
- Fast and accurate data entry with high attention to detail
- Ability to network with internal and external parties effectively demonstrating a polite, open, honest and fair approach
