An exciting opportunity has become available for?a?Principal Advisor ER & Privacy?to join the Department of Customer Service in our People and Culture team. This is a great opportunity to drive innovation and continuous improvement initiatives.
**About the Opportunity**
Forming a key part of the?leadership?team within the People & Culture function,?you will?co-lead a team of?IR & ER?Specialists?to develop and deliver?effective service delivery outcomes.?
?
As an experienced member and?co-leader?of the team, you will?have a thorough?understanding of the Department of Customer Service’s values and policies and procedures. You will also develop strong relationships internally so that are able to engage and influence key stakeholders?to resolve?complex IR & ER situations/issues.?You will be an enabler of change with a solutions and delivery focused approach while partnering with?key internal and external stakeholders to effect sound practice in the IR & ER environment.?
**To be successful in this role?**
You will possess a great blend of skills, including:?
- A customer centric mindset with a?sound knowledge of industrial relations and employee relations frameworks in NSW.
- You will co-lead a team to deliver a highly valued and credible advisory service, that enables the Dept to deliver a people first approach in employee relations.
- Represent DCS in meetings and negotiations with NSW IRC and legal proceedings as required.
- Expertise across the breadth of employee relations including investigations, case management and analytical skills.
- Strong interpersonal and persuasion skills and excellent written and report writing skills.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Oversee day to day delivery of service?when Manager is not working.
- Advocate matters in NSW IRC and other employment related tribunals.
- Collaboration?and develops the team’s capabilities to successfully deliver quality and effective services.
- Manage high work volume in a time sensitive environment.
- Coordinate the review and development of HR Policy that reflects best?practice.
- Lead the People and Culture privacy response process.
**What we need from you**

Salary Grade 11/12, with the base salary for this role starting at 131,094 base plus superannuation
