We are looking to hire an Internal Communications Manager for a 13 month Fixed Term Contract.

About the Role:
This role has a strong strategic focus as well as an operational requirement. The Internal Communications Manager owns all aspects of the internal communications strategy for the Momentum business, designing, developing and executing the plan within the Momentum communications framework.

Our internal communications framework is well established and humming - the focus is to evolve our internal communications program to support our rapidly evolving business and the business strategic objectives. Integral to this role will be an ability to support leadership, generate ideas and develop creative content for a variety of channels. Provision of communications expertise and contribution to key projects within the broader People and Experience team is also an important component of the role.
- Lead the internal communications capability in line with our desired business culture and brand purpose.
- Execute communications framework for the remainder of FY24, and design and execute FY25 plan.
- Manage available communication channels and content plan. Adapt channel mix/establish new channels to improve communication effectiveness and increase employee engagement as necessary and in line with metrics.
- Deliver a range of high-quality communications including; events, articles, speeches, printed materials, and digital products as required.
- Create connectedness, engagement and a compelling “why” for all staff regarding the business strategy and portfolio of initiatives that affect them.
- Create an understanding of this function’s purpose and benefits of utilising it.
- Collaborate on key projects across the Hydro group, including building a close relationship with equivalent teams across Hydro Tasmania and Entura.
- Own and be responsible for the communications plan that brings the business strategy, culture and Employee Value Proposition (EVP) to life and keeps it alive throughout the year. E.g ensure all company-wide internal communications efforts and messages are in line with the strategic priorities.
- Develop key messages relevant to each target audience using most effective channels, language and timing for relevance and cut-through.

About You and Your Experience:

- Prior experience in senior project communications roles + significant Communications experience.
- Experience in providing strategic and tactical communications to a Management team within a change environment.
- Experience executing a communications plan and delivering internal collateral to a business.
- Experience of reporting at project board / executive level.
- Be a strategic thinker who can design as well as execute communications to build awareness, commitment and adoption and planned strategies to engage staff and other stakeholders.
- Be able to manage and influence multiple stakeholders with varying levels of engagement and commitment.
- Be a creative thinker who can obtain, interpret and communicate complex information.
- Know how to use messaging and different channels for maximum effect.
- Creative skills will include: photography, basic video production and editing, design creative briefing, managing external design agencies.
- Event production including: venue sourcing and management where required, talent management, content production, logistics and audio visual.
