Internal Communications Manager

About the role

We are seeking an Internal Communications Manager that sits within the wider Corporate Affairs team. You'll play a pivotal national role in designing and delivery of internal communications (IC) strategies to ensure employees feel connected to strategy, purpose and values with content that builds trust with employees, empowering and motivating them as advocates for Transurban.
- The role is responsible for the design and delivery of high-quality communication and change plans, collateral, channels and tools. The Internal Communications Manager will build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships across the Transurban Group to support strategic communications outcomes.

Day-to-day, you will:
Work to build trust with employees enabling them as advocates for Transurban. Own a portfolio within the team, supporting ExCo members and their lead teams with strategic communications to drive employee engagement and culture.- Working across enterprise programs such as strategy, purpose and values to bring it to life for employees and support leaders in connecting their teams.- Identify opportunities to enhance internal communications channels and delivery methods for employees.- Communicate and execute the internal communications strategy across nominated business areas, including raising issues and risks with management.- Ensure employees are well informed about business activities and priorities through regular communications distributed via a variety of tools & channels to reach appropriate target audiences- Produce regular reports that evaluate employee engagement with internal communications activities and tools and showcases insights for initiatives to boost employee engagement, while gathering and acting on meaningful employee feedback

This role will suit someone with a curious mind and transferrable skills and experiences, including:
Tertiary qualification in a communications-related discipline- Relevant experience in a strategic communications role or similar role with strong change management skills- Comfortable managing communications activities in a complex corporate environment- Highly developed stakeholder management and relationship building skills- Excellent writing and editorial skills including the ability to manage and produce high quality written material for a wide range of audiences.With a career at Transurban, you’ll enjoy a range of benefits, including:
