What is the role?

Applications are sought from suitably qualified applicants wishing to be considered for the role of Communications/Training Officer within the Integrated Portfolio Office (IPO).

The IPO currently manages the Program & Project Management Framework (PMF) which provides the principles and standards required to enable outcomes, change and benefits for the AFP and applies to all initiatives funded by the AFP Investment Plan.

The IPO uses the PMF to categorise those initiatives into either a Program, Complex Project, Simple Project or Standalone Procurement, which determines the level of governance, management, reporting and assurance processes required.

The IPO uses the AFP endorsed system StrategyDotZero (SDZ) to track and report on AFP Programs and Projects.

You will also be required to contribute to the achievement of outcomes in accordance with the regulatory framework, the AFP Code of Conduct and the AFP Governance Instruments. It is expected that the successful applicant will deliver on the core responsibilities and meet any requirements of the position as outlined below.

What will you do?

As a Communications/Training Officer within the IPO your key responsibilities include:
Developing and maintaining training and communication strategies;
Deliver online and face-to-face training and maintenance of training material;
Provide input into the development of business requirements to ensure SDZ is fit for purpose;
Provide assistance in raising system issues and communicating resolution to end users;
Ongoing review of the Program/Project Management framework, templates and user guides;
Facilitating Community of Practice sessions;
Managing and maintaining various IPO external facing information sites (for example MS Teams, SharePoint, webpage);
Developing junior team members and fulfilling a guiding, mentoring and advisory role;
Model the AFP’s Core Values and maintain the highest level of professional standards; and
Engaging with Senior Executive stakeholders.
Essential Requirements

A Negative Vetting 1 (Secret) security clearance or the ability to obtain one.
Ability to present to small and large groups.
Demonstrated ability to work.
Desirable Requirements

The following skills and/or experience would be highly regarded:
Formal qualifications or knowledge and experience in program and project management
Cert IV in Training and Assessment
Knowledge of the Program and Project Management Framework.
Knowledge or experience in StrategyDotZero
