**About the Role**:
WorkPac on behalf of our leading Energy client are seeking an experienced Construction Officer/Supervisor for a six (6) month opportunity working at the Cockburn Power Station. This position will act as the business representative during the construction of refurbishment of a workshop and be responsible for works completed by other contractors undertaking site services work. You will ensure that the appropriate standards for safety, quality, service delivery and costs are maintained.

**Key Responsibilities**:
Effectively manage contractors to achieve safe, timely and commercially effective execution.

Supervise and administer the work performed to the terms and conditions of contract.

Provide technical input into methodologies and the development of work scopes.

Manage any site contract documentation and keep auditable records, eg daily diary.

Review quality of workmanship.

Liaise with the business to ensure compliance with policies and procedures.

Manage potential safety issues and mitigate risks to the business

Provide reports on contractor performance as required.

Maintain effective relationships with all stakeholders.

Ensure compliance with all statutory and regulatory requirements.

Provide support on any contract management issues.

Verify works executed in accordance with Inspection and Test Plans (ITP's)

Organise any work impacting on the operation and maintenance of the site to minimise disruption.

Manage scope creep and contract variations during work execution

Manage own performance to achieve targets in a timely manner.

Maintain a safe working environment and ensure adherence to safety and health systems.

Proactively demonstrate and be an advocate of the organisation's values and behaviours.

Drive continuous improvement and innovation within the team.

Demonstrate accountability for the performance of contractors assigned to be supervised.

Build trusting relationships with other team members, contractors, suppliers and stakeholders.

Share technical knowledge and information.

Attend and be an active participant in site project meetings.

Supervise mobilisation and site establishment of new contractors.

Supervise demobilisation and vacation of site at the end of contracts.

Attend prestart and alignment meetings with contractors.

Supervise, monitor performance and coordinate work of contractors to minimise any site impacts.

Provide formal and informal communications with contractors on site requirements

Develop and improve own personal effectiveness.

Develop open and trusting internal and external workplace relations and communications.

**Key Requirements**:
Minimum 5-8 years of experience in a similar role supervising Building and Civil work working as the owner representative.

Building of Civil Trade background

Current C Class WA motor vehicle drivers licence with own transport

Sound knowledge of work scope delivery

Quality assurance standards, practices, and management

Building industry standards, policies, procedures and practices

Industrial occupational safety and health management

Planning and scheduling

Strong relationship management and influencing skills

Hazard analysis and risk assessment
