**Moodle Support and Website Maintenance officer**
Southern Cross School of Business (SCSB) is an established ASQA accredited RTO specialising in providing Diploma and Advanced Diploma courses in Business and Accounting to international and Australian students as well as ELICOS courses to international students. We are seeking a Moodle Support and Website Maintenance Officer to join our college. The job opening is for our Parramatta campus for a full-time position. **Skills/Experience**
Experience in Moodle Management and Website Administration in an RTO platform required.
**Qualifications**
Tertiary qualification in Business Information, Communications and Technology is a mandatory requirement.
- **Key responsibilities**_
**Moodle Support**
- Creating new course units under qualifications and their respective sessions and classes.
- Creating new quizzes/activities or how to upload any resource on the Moodle system in future.
- Students’ enrolments and groupings.
- Students’ extended access mechanism.
- Trainers’ enrolments and groupings.
- Dealing with students’ logs for providing support.
- Coordinating with existing IT service providers to acquire online development tools and services plus troubleshooting back-end server and front-end system errors.
- Enrolling the new students and trainers onto the Moodle System.
- Developing quizzes for the new intakes and training packages.
- Supporting the on-going maintenance and on-going product roll-out (e.g. Class cloning) of LMS.
- Coordinating with Managers, Trainers & Assessors and Student Support Officers to define and allocate tasks related to the functionalities of Moodle and ensuring that procedures are followed.
- Delivering timely technical support to all the stakeholders. This includes training, future development of system and ongoing advice to implement best practices and management processes concerning Moodle.
**_Website maintenance_**
- Perform routine maintenance tasks on the website as directed by the PEO/ Company Director
- Monitor website content to ensure it stays up-to-date
- Review content, format and description to ensure all material conforms to policy and guidelines
- Website development
- Undertake straightforward tasks relating to website development under the direction of the PEO/ Company Director
- Maintaining the official website with course details, policies and procedures and marketing material.
- Analysing test data to assess Moodle’s and WordPress' performance.
- Ensure website form and content conforms to ASQA guidelines
- Adobe, photoshop, google ad words, Facebook advertising
- Full working rights in Australia_Communications_
- Report technical errors, inconsistencies or anomalies to the PEO
- Report errors, inconsistencies or anomalies in website content to the content owner
- Technical issues of a routine /non-routine nature are investigated and resolved or reported promptly
- Technical issues of a non-routine nature are reported promptly to the Webmaster
- Problems with website content are reported promptly to the content owner
- Changes to content are made only under the instruction of the company PEO/ Director
- Records of activities are maintained
**Salary**: From $50,000.00 per year
