Job Description

The Health Services Manager plays a pivotal role in leading and managing a multidisciplinary team to deliver healthcare services within immigration detention settings. This position is responsible for ensuring that care is effective, high quality, and responsive to the needs of patients, with a strong focus on achieving positive health outcomes. • Managing resources in a flexible and efficient manner to effectively meet business and workflow requirements, including but not limited to scheduling, rostering, and resource allocation to ensure timely, responsive and appropriate service delivery and continuity of care.
  • Adopting and promoting a culture of Continuous Quality Improvement by leading, implementing and championing change.
  • Inspiring and engaging team members by fostering a culture of continuous improvement, motivation, and mentorship.
  • Actively participating in risk management and quality improvement systems to enhance service delivery and outcomes.
  • Supporting the development of an organisational culture that prioritises proactive risk identification and mitigation.
Let's talk about you:

You bring exceptional communication and leadership skills that build trust, inspire motivation, and foster strong team engagement. Your ability to connect with others and lead with clarity and purpose sets the foundation for a cohesive and high-performing team. You are genuinely committed to creating and nurturing an inclusive, positive, and engaged team culture.

With a strong strategic mindset, you excel at translating vision into action. Your leadership style encourages collaboration, values diverse perspectives, and promotes a sense of belonging and shared purpose. A deep understanding of healthcare regulations, standards of care, clinical governance, and quality improvement methodologies are essential to succeeding in this role.

Additionally, you will have at least five years' experience in leadership or management roles within a complex healthcare environment. Current AHPRA registration in Nursing or another relevant clinical profession is required, without any conditions.
