**Your role**

The Asset & Configuration Analyst is responsible for ensuring ICT hardware and software assets maintained in the ICT Configuration Management System for Information and Digital Services accurately reflect the correct lifecycle stage of the asset.

You will have the opportunity to work within a close-knit and supportive team environment in an organisation that is committed to ongoing career development and training.

**What you’ll do**
- Maintain the lifecycle status of both software and hardware assets in the ICT configuration management systems to a 95% accuracy, including moves, additions and changes for IDS managed Assets only.
- Undertake the required compliance responsibilities, including end to end monitoring, of licensed software on DCJ devices to ensure compliance against DCJ contracts.
- Prepare and provide comprehensive, evidence-based advice and recommendations, on licensed software usage. Ensure accuracy and relevance of data collated to enable necessary actions and assist with relevant reporting regarding all work undertaken.
- Provide advice and recommendations to Asset & Configuration Manager on any updates required to the structure of the ICT Configuration Management system.
- Contribute to the development, evaluation and implementation of Asset and Configuration management policies, standards, processes and procedures with the organisation to ensure compliance and reduce risk.
- Identify and address potential systemic issues and themes by analysing data collated to provide input into changes to relevant procedure.

**What we’re looking for**
- In-depth knowledge of ICT Configuration Management systems
- Strong analytical skills, including proficiency in business analysis and system design
- Tertiary qualifications and/or equivalent experience in a relevant field.
- ITIL Foundation certification

**Targeted Question 2**: As the CMDB is a central repository where it stores information about the organisations IT environment, it needs the ability to adapt to ever changing business needs. To maximise the benefits of the CMDB and to ensure its data integrity one primary task is continuous improvement. What are some ongoing processes that you can take to improve the CMDB, so it remains useful and valuable?
