About this role
& directing the development, delivery and embedding of WooliesX Ecom “Estore” and
CFC initiatives within an Agile environment.
Provide operational expertise & direction in the store design & flow of new CFC and
Estores. You will work in parallel with other teams including Store Format & Design to develop
stores that operate efficiently and cater for specific needs of CFC/Estores.
The role is positioned within the Ecom Operations Support team, reporting to the Ecom
Operations Chapter Lead. You work primarily within the Estore & CFC program within a squad
lead by the Estore Operating Model Manager. As required, you will engage directly with
leaders in WooliesX Ecom, Smart Fulfillment & the Food Group (including support functions
such as Store Format, People & Culture and Safety teams).
Within the context of the Woolworths Store operational environment, this role is typically filled by
experienced CFC leaders, Ecom Zone Leads, experienced Store Managers (with relief group
management experience or experience in support functions).
What am I accountable for?

Achieving Operational metrics of WooliesX
Delivery of initiatives in a manner that is operationally sustainable.
Facilitating the effective delivery of new initiatives affecting operations teams.
Engagement of Supermarket Leaders & stakeholders in delivering WooliesX initiatives.
This includes Product Owners, Project Leads, Squads Tribes, Ecom & Zone Operations
managers, National & State Online Support, Capacity Planning, Risk & Safety, Food Academy,
Productivity, Data & Analytics, Change management, Finance and any relevant stakeholders to
ensure WooliesX initiatives are delivered and evolve to enable out store team to deliver on our
promise to customers.
Actively influence the direction of WooliesX initiatives to deliver ongoing improvement to
instore operational outcomes.
How will I be measured?
- Feedback from stakeholders (internal and external) & colleagues regarding outcomes and
behaviours whilst performing your role
- Achievement of Estore Program KPI’s/metrics
- The achievement of WooliesX and organisational metrics including (but not limited to) NPS,
VOC, AIFR, IPLH and Sales
- The timely realisation of benefits/improvements associated with the delivering of WooliesX
initiatives & Estore program.
- How consistently and efficiently new initiatives are embedded into our business.
- Alignment to Woolworths values.
Where is the role based?
WooliesX office at Surry Hills however remote working options are available.
What knowledge, experience and characteristics do I need?
- You are a successful & experienced Store Manager
- A hands-on operator with robust comprehension of store tools, processes and ways-of
working. A good understanding of online store operations would be helpful..
- Computer literate with a willingness to use data to inform decision making.
- An ability to work in an autonomous and self-directing environment.
- Despite having no direct reports in this role, you are a confident & assertive leader with
experience managing operational teams
- An ability to adapt your approach influencing from senior leaders to personal shoppers.
- Naturally curious, with a friendly, engaging and flexible style.
- Ability to adapt your influencing style as needed
