Screen NSW focuses on assisting, promoting and strengthening the screen industry in NSW to promote Australia’s cultural identity, encourage employment in all aspects of screen production, stimulate investment in the sector, amplify the industry’s export potential, encourage innovation and enhance quality in the industry.

The First Nations Development Lead (Screen) supports the implementation of funding programs and initiatives for the screen sector. The role has a dual focus on talent development across NSW for all practitioners with a specific focus on First Nations storytellers and content creation. The role also contributes to the development, planning and budgeting of programs in line with government priorities.

In this role you will:

- Manage the development and maintenance of administration and data systems for funding programs to ensure efficient and accurate data collection and records management.
- Develop and maintain a network for NSW First Nations practitioners, ensuring they are informed of screen industry opportunities through regular meetings and events.
- Track and support the development of NSW Above-the-Line and Below-the-Line talent, contributing to career pathway programs and sector development.
- Prepare accurate and timely reports, communications, and briefs to meet agency and Government requests, and maintain relationships with stakeholders to support Screen NSW.

**About You**

To be successful within this role, you will have:

- Good knowledge of the screen sector combined with experience in funding assessments and related contracts administration.
- Sound knowledge of database / information and record management systems.
- Extensive knowledge and understanding of First Nations society and culture.
- Ability to deliver on multiple tasks concurrently and accurately in a fast-paced environment with mínimal direction and supervision.
- Strong written and verbal skills and can adapt your communication style to a variety of stakeholders.

**Essential Requirements**
This is an identified role under Section 14d of the _Anti-Discrimination Act 1977_ and as such Aboriginality is an essential requirement of the role.
