About the School
Bellevue Park State School caters for students from the Preparatory Year to Year 6. We have a student enrolment of approximately 680. The quality reputation our school enjoys has been achieved through the hard work and diligence of our staff members, both in the classrooms and administration office. Based on the belief that all students can learn, the staff of Bellevue Park State School accepts the responsibility to teach all students, regardless of differences, the fundamental skills required for success in the 21st century.
We set high expectations for every student's progress and ambitious targets for improving classroom performances. We implement research based effective teaching strategies to promote successful and independent learners. Of great importance to us is the rigorous examination of data to monitor the effect of teaching strategies and to provide timely feedback to students that clarify actions they need to take to progress their learning.
About the Role
As Deputy Principal, you will have responsibility for leading the following activities and delivery of the following key tasks:
- Assist the Principal to lead the school community to develop, articulate and commit to a shared educational vision focussed on providing quality learning outcomes for all students.
- Deputise for the Principal when required.
- Uphold the deputy principalship as a values based, ethical and moral activity.
- Embed socially just practices in daily school life.
- Set high standards for student and staff performance.
- Actively participate in lifelong learning and ongoing professional development.
- Form partnerships with parents, other government agencies, community groups, industry and business.
- Be futures oriented and strategic.
- Understand the legislation and policies that impact on schooling.
- Manage resources to achieve goals.
