**The role**
The Infrastructure Officer is responsible for ensuring the safe, reliable and effective operation and maintenance of the underlying IT and technology infrastructure. As the Infrastructure Officer will be responsible for maintaining, trouble-shooting and ensuring the continuous improvement of site IT/technology infrastructure, facilitating additions, removals and changes to technology systems and ensuring that statutory systems are maintained, audited and treated according to relevant legislation.

**Selection Criteria**
Ideally you will be proficient in networking and be a practicing (CCNA or CCNP) specialist. Requirements also include an excellent understanding of Cisco switching and industrial switches, knowledge of system administration, disaster recovery and IP data communications systems, a solid background in wireless networking, Windows, Linux, and embedded system administration, SQL database administration; remote access and administration tools and disaster recovery in a 24x7x365 environment, best practice backup and Microsoft Active Directory administration and design. Experience with VM Ware is also desirable. Tertiary qualified you will need a minimum of 2 years’ experience in a manufacturing or heavy industry operation.
