**Your new role**

The Release Manager - Scheme Platforms Environment & Release, reporting to the Director of Scheme Platforms Environment & Release, is responsible for the establishment and execution of Release Management processes to support the department's Business System (PACE) release schedule.

**Accountabilities**
- Establish and maintain the Release Management processes in consultation with relevant OCIO and Business stakeholders including third party suppliers.
- Develop and maintain the release schedule, balancing technical dependencies and business requirements, compliance and other priorities.
- Drive regular OCIO release management forums using OCIO’s work management tool set as the primary point of reference.
- Conduct Release Readiness reviews, Milestone Reviews, and Business Go/No-Go reviews.
- Co-ordinate the production of Release, Deployment, Run Books and Implementation Plans.
- Ensure all OCIO ICT Change Processes are followed including Cyber assessments, Penetration testing, Go/No-Go gates.
- Actively manage delivery of the department's Business System Release schedule using OCIO’s standard Project Management tool, including management of plans, risks, issues, and key decisions.
- Co-ordinate the production of weekly OCIO Release Status Reports and review with the Director, Integration Systems Delivery and other relevant functions.

**What you'll need to succeed**
- Proven experience of at least 3-5 years in establishing and managing Release Management processes in an enterprise business system context.
- Enterprise-level experience of managing releases and delivering systems based on contemporary platforms and architectures (e.g. MuleSoft and Salesforce) including a high level of integration into internal and external systems.
- Proven experience in, and strong knowledge of, contemporary project management, software development/configuration, testing, system delivery, governance frameworks and methodologies.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications; and an industry recognised qualification in project management, such as Diploma of Project Management; or SAFe Agile.
- Release and/or Project Management in Federal or State Government environments.
