Melbourne, Australia Hansen Technologies Full time

**Who Are We**

Hansen (ASX: HSN) is a global provider of software and services to the energy, water and communications industries. With our award-winning software suite, we help more than 600 customers in over 80 countries to create and deliver new products and services, engage with customers, and control and manage critical revenue management and customer support processes.

Traditionally Hansen has been known for our billing and customer care solutions for utilities and energy companies; and for our BSS/OSS solutions for the communications industry. Yet today our solutions are far broader than this - from enabling the strategic trading of energy resources, to gaining real insights from the data tsunami that smart meters enable and the ability to quickly sell products through our Catalog-driven solutions. Put simply, our solutions are essential ingredients in our customers’ commercial business model, providing them the ability to create and deliver these essential services, charge for them, and establish and maintain lasting relationships with their end customers.

**Why This Role Matters**

Coordinate and Control, Govern and Guide, Deliver and Drive

At Hansen, we empower our customers to deliver essential services through innovative software solutions. As Release Manager for the CIS-HU business unit, based in Melbourne, you’ll be at the heart of our software delivery engine—ensuring every release is timely, secure, and aligned with business priorities. This role is more than coordination—it’s about safeguarding quality, enabling agility, and driving operational excellence across environments. You’ll lead cross-functional collaboration, refine governance, and champion continuous improvement. Where our customers rely on precision and reliability, your work ensures we deliver it—every time

**What You’ll Do**
- **Plan and Coordinate Releases**:Maintain a forward-looking release calendar and manage deployment activities across multiple environments, ensuring alignment with project timelines and business readiness.
- **Lead Governance and Reviews**:Chair release readiness, go/no-go, and post-implementation reviews, ensuring quality gates are met and governance processes are followed.
- **Manage Communication and Risks**:Define release strategies, communicate updates to stakeholders, and provide real-time coordination and escalation support during release windows.
- **Monitor and Report Progress**:Deliver regular reporting on release status, risks, success criteria, and outcomes to internal and external stakeholders.
- **Drive Continuous Improvement**:Enhance release processes through automation and DevOps practices, and collaborate to standardise tools and procedures.
- **Maintain Documentation**:Ensure accurate and up-to-date release documentation, including deployment plans, rollback procedures, and operational handovers.

**What You Bring**
- **Strong Organisational & Communication Skills**:Able to manage complex release schedules and communicate effectively with both technical and business stakeholders.
- **Risk & Decision Management**:Demonstrates sound judgment under pressure, with the ability to identify risks and escalate issues appropriately.
- **Governance & Compliance Knowledge**:Solid understanding of change and release governance, with a focus on quality assurance and adherence to ITIL processes.
- **Technical Proficiency**:Familiar with CI/CD pipelines, version control systems (e.g., Git), and deployment practices across Agile and Waterfall models.
- **Continuous Improvement Mindset**:Proactive in optimising processes, enhancing automation, and driving improvements in release practices and documentation.
- **Industry & Tool Familiarity (Desirable)**:Experience with energy/utility platforms (e.g., MSATS, MDMS), collaboration tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence), and working in regulated environments.
