**About the Role**
Your role will be to work as part of a small rigging team in the installation and maintenance of Wireless communication systems and support structures for the national rollout of 5G technology
In this role you will perform routine services and maintenance activities following established instructions to contribute to efficient and effective daily operations.
You'll be at the forefront of building 5G Networks for the largest carriers in Australia. Supporting the likes of Optus, TPG and Telstra to ensure that Australia is always connected
**Responsibilities**
- Construction, upgrading and decommissioning of wireless telecommunication sites.
- Installation, testing and maintenance of telecommunications equipment mounted on high structures, including radio towers.
- Assessing installation requirements, planning and performing installations;
- Testing installed equipment and fault-finding.
- Following all Client and Industry specifications, standards and HSE guidelines
- Installation and maintenance of microwave feeders, antennas, Hyperflex cables, RRU's and ancillary equipment systems on rooftops, monopoles and towers.
- Installation and commissioning telecommunications equipment for 4G / 5G / PMR and transmission systems such as Fibre, PDH, SDH, DWDM, IP Routers and carrier Ethernet.
- Undertake tower and erection works.
- Upgrading existing structures to install antennas and equipment.
- Assisting with installations, moves, additions, changes, maintenance and repair support for customer telecommunications equipment.
- Working with remote integration centres
- Ensuring all working at heights activities are performed safely and in accordance with safety procedures.
- Correct maintenance and calibration of related test and safety equipment.
- Ensuring that OH&S Policy requirements are always observed and followed.
- Reading and interpreting construction / as built drawings to successfully complete works to a high standard.
- Adjusting, replacing and repairing faulty items, and testing equipment using electronic instruments.
- Ensuring all paperwork is job coded and is correctly submitted to head office in a timely manner.
- Relevant documentation on completions of works including photographic documentation as required
- Monitoring and checking plant, equipment and PPE are in specification and tagged / tested in line with safety.
- Co-ordinating with other contractors when required
**Skills & Experience**
- Rigging Certification(Basic Minimum) & Open Cable Licence
- EWP Tickets
- Working At Heights/Tower Rescue Tickets
- Australian Drivers Licence & Construction White Card
- First Aid & CPR Certificates
- Comfortable Working At Heights
- Readiness To Travel Regularly To Sites Across The State For Installations.
- Willingness To Undergo A Police Check
