Join the energetic Horticulture team at Hume City Council to contribute to the operation of delivering horticultural maintenance to a range of landscapes such as facilities, district centers and reserves.

**What you’ll be doing**:

- Develop and implement the scheduling and programming of horticultural maintenance works across the listed facilities and WSUD within the Municipality.
- Develop and implement the annual horticultural refurbishment program across all required facility sites.
- Assist in the development of minor and major landscaping projects across the Municipality.
- Coordinate contractors to ensure quality service is provided in Facility and WSUD sites.
- Assist in the provision of a safe working environment..
- Improve services, review work practices, procedures and purchase of equipment.

**Key skills and experience you’ll bring to the role**:

- Advanced Certificate or Diploma in Horticulture or similar qualification and/or relevant experience in the horticultural profession.
- Demonstrated experience in the use of horticultural and environmental principles.
- Proven ability in maintaining and further developing horticultural assets.
- Demonstrated experience in the supervision of staff and contractors.
- Proven and demonstrated ability to lead and motivate work teams.
- Proven and demonstrated ability to effectively plan, implement and monitor works programs.
- Proven and demonstrated ability to work within set budgets.
