**Job Opportunity: Garden Maintenance Team leader role at Leaf by Leaf**

Based in Melbourne’s north-east, we specialise in delivering high-quality garden maintenance and soft scaping services for both residential and commercial clients. With plans to grow in 2025, we’re looking for a skilled **Team Leader** to join our passionate team and help us build on our success.

**The Role**:
**Team Leader in Garden Maintenance & Soft Scaping**, you will be responsible for overseeing a small team, managing garden maintenance projects, and ensuring work is carried out to the highest standards. The role requires both leadership and hands-on gardening skills, as well as the ability to engage directly with clients and work according to their specifications.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Lead and supervise a small team of horticulturists to complete residential and commercial garden maintenance and soft scaping projects.
- **Talk directly with clients** to understand their requirements and ensure work is done to their specifications and satisfaction.
- Provide expertise in **plant identification**, **pest and disease management**, and other garden care needs.
- Perform hands-on tasks such as mowing, pruning/shaping, mulching, planting, hand weeding and soft scape install projects by design.
- maintain irrigation systems
- **Run job sites independently**, managing your schedule, project flow, and client communication.
- Oversee the safe and efficient use of tools and equipment on-site.
- Maintain professionalism, cleanliness, and safety at all times on job sites.
- Ensure the timely completion of projects, managing deadlines and client expectations.
- Train, mentor, and develop junior team members, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
- Ensure all work is completed to **Leaf by Leaf’s high-quality standards**, reflecting the excellence that earned us our recent Gold Award.

**About You**:

- A **Certificate III in Horticulture** or at least **5 years of residential garden experience (This is a requirement)**:

- **Strong plant identification knowledge** and solid expertise in pest and disease management.
- **Excellent client communication skills** and the ability to understand and work to clients’ specific garden needs and preferences.
- Proven ability to work both as part of a team and independently, managing garden maintenance projects from start to finish.
- Experience in garden maintenance and soft scaping, with a keen eye for detail and a passion for horticulture.
- Based in Melbourne’s north-east (ideal, but not essential).
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- A passion for garden services and design.
- Must be able to work 7:30am - 4pm 5 days per week.

Pay: $28.00 - $39.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift

**Education**:

- Certificate I - IV (preferred)

**Experience**:

- Garden maintenance: 4 years (preferred)

Work Authorisation:

- Australia (required)
