There are a number of internships available, which will contribute to community health initiatives on projects such as conducting research, community outreach, supporting event planning, and creating digital communication materials. Ok, so what’s the role?
The LGBTQ+ Women’s Health Promotion Intern will work within ACON’s HIV and Sexual Health Division, contributing to the development and delivery of innovative initiatives within the LGBTQ+ Women’s Health Programs team. This role offers a unique opportunity to support projects that promote the sexual health and wellbeing of LGBTQ+ women, including digital communications, event planning, and community outreach.

You’ll play a key part in the success of newly emerging projects while developing valuable skills in health promotion and community engagement.
Key responsibilities include assisting with initiatives such as Word on the Sheets (digital communication development), Silver Sessions (an event for older LGBTQ+ women), community outreach, and workshops.
This role is ideal for someone who is enthusiastic about LGBTQ+ health, has a strong interest in sexual health promotion, and is looking to build experience in project management, event coordination, and community engagement.

- Sexual, Domestic and Family Violence Health Promotion Intern - ACON Sydney
- LGBTQ+ Women’s Health Promotion Intern - ACON Sydney
- Digital Content Intern - ACON Sydney

What’s the remuneration and working details?
**Salary**: $52,303.00 (Gross FTE per-annum, PLUS Superannuation and Leave Loading)
Locations: ACON’s Gadigal/Sydney Office, ACON’s Awabakal/Hunter Office or ACON’s Bundjalung/Lismore Office.
Hours: Part Time (28 hours per fortnight / 0.4 FTE) on a 6-month fixed term contract.
Days and times of work may be negotiable.

- Salary Packaging up to $35,000 gross up value (i.e., currently up to $15,900 Expenses + $2,650 Meals, tax free).
