About Us

Women’s and Girls’ Emergency Centre (WAGEC) is a feminist, not-for-profit organisation that supports women and families in crisis and advocates for social change in the community. We work on the lands of the Gadigal, Wangal and Dharug people of the Eora Nation. Every night, we support 200 women and children impacted by homelessness, domestic violence and systemic disadvantage, and we seek to address the underlying causes of gender-based violence through primary prevention activities with communities and private and public entities that want to be part of the global movement to end gender-based violence in a generation.

The Role

The Operations Manager leads a small team that oversees the daily operations and facilities management for WAGEC sites. Reporting to the Director of Quality and Impact, this hands‑on role is based at WAGECs Head Office in Redfern with travel to our other offices and refuges. This is a new role supporting our continued growth, ideally full‑time or at least 0.8FTE.

About You

- You're an organised manager with strong IT/systems knowledge and excellent communication skills.

- Ideally you have at least 5 years’ experience in facilities, contracts and/or systems management.

- You have solid project management experience across complex and dynamic environments.

- You thrive on developing teams and building strong working relationships with diverse stakeholders.
