**Role Specifics**

The Social Media and Communications Advisor role is responsible for planning and delivering quality communications through a variety of channels to both members and consumers guided by relevant organisational strategies. The role reports to the Media and Communications Manager and works with a number of stakeholders to execute and operationalise communications strategy, campaign communications and social media outreach.

**Key responsibilities**
- Social media lead: strategy review, procedures, content creation, moderator of comments
- Prepare and deliver multichannel communications plans to support allocated portfolios across multiple audiences
- Develop and co-ordinate membership campaigns and contribute to innovations and continuous improvement in the way we communicate with members
- Establish and maintain strong working relationships across the organisation
- Provide communications advice and service to APA departments and committees
- Liaise closely with a range of stakeholder groups to ensure their communications requirements are met effectively
- Take responsibility for communications activity to support allocated portfolios
- Prepare reports on communications activity as required
- Backfill other communications functions as required
- Events management support as and when required
