The GIANTS are on an exciting journey both on and off the field. With teams in the AFL, the AFL Women’s League and Super Netball competitions, the GIANTS truly are a club like no other.
On field, the AFL team has quickly grown into one of the competition’s most exciting teams with several players becoming household names across the country. Likewise, the on-field achievements of our AFL Women’s and GIANTS Netball teams are seeing the club connect with more fans and followers than ever before.
Off field, the club’s exciting, innovative, and fresh brand is growing as it engages with members, fans, the community and key stakeholders across Western Sydney, Canberra and Nationally.
The GIANTS’ AFL and AFL Women’s teams are based at the club’s elite training and administration facility in Sydney Olympic Park, with GIANTS Netball based adjacent at Netball Central.

**Description**:
The GIANTS’ Media and Communications team places a high value on the department being a healthy work environment that encourages teamwork, supports club values, and promotes a positive culture.
This is opportunity can be Sydney Olympic Park or Melbourne office-based.
Reporting to the Head of Media, Communications and Content, he role is responsible for managing the club’s digital channels to support audience growth, optimise commercial value and continue to develop the club’s relationships with members and fans as well as driving and delivering outstanding fan experiences.
The Digital Content Producer has a strong grasp on the latest trends in the digital space and leads the development and execution of digital campaigns across the commercial and consumer spaces.
Products include mobile app and web management for the GIANTS’ AFL, AFLW and Netball teams as well as working across the club’s commercial, consumer, community, and marketing departments.
This role also provides creative graphic design support to the Media, Communications and Content department.
Applicants need to be aware that this is not a regular 9-5 job with weekend work being part of the role.
**Responsibilities**:
- Website build and management - GIANTS, Netball, Foundation and Membership
- Designing, producing and managing digital content
- Assist with content and campaign planning
- App build and management
- Digital content data, analytics and reporting
- Digital platform growth
- Graphic design
- Motion graphic content
**Skills and Experiences**:
Skills and Knowledge
- 1-2 years’ experience in a similar or relevant role
- Understanding of social and digital data and the impact on content production
- Knowledge and ability to learn content management systems and back-end website and app development
- Writing and editing skills
- Stakeholder management skills
- Graphic design experience is favourable
- Be a strategic thinker, using research and creativity in the development of targeted content
- Project management skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Attention to detail and effective time management skills are necessary
- Working knowledge of AFL/W and/or Netball is desirable
