Overview:
We currently have an excellent opportunity for a dynamic and successful Instrument Sales Specialist to join our Life Sciences team, based in Melbourne and covering greater Victoria and Tasmania. The role will be responsible for promoting and supporting Bio-Rad's market leading Droplet Digital PCR portfolio.

Reporting to the Regional Sales Manager (South), you will be responsible for designing and successfully implementing a sales management plan, satisfying customer needs, and expectations as well as meeting and exceeding annual sales revenue and growth targets for the assigned territory.

- Building, maintaining, and developing strong customer relationships.
- Developing and implementing an effective territory management plan that meets and exceeds annual sales revenue and growth targets.
- Spending at least 70% of the time in the field, visiting current and prospective customers to support their needs and drive awareness.
- Nurturing leads provided by Marketing and Core sales teams in a proactive manner.
- Coordinating and participating in key customer initiatives, including seminars, demonstrations, and presentations.
- Attending conferences and events to drive awareness and build customer relationships.
- Assisting with customer problem solving and troubleshooting.
- Developing a strong working knowledge of Molecular Biology Applications in the Life Science and Clinical Diagnostic fields.

**What You Bring**:

- Relevant knowledge of current laboratory techniques with a focus on molecular biology that includes PCR, qPCR and Digital PCR.
- Minimum 3 years Capital Instrument Sales in the Life Science or Diagnostic Industry.
- A Life Science or related degree and previous research and laboratory experience (PhD in molecular biology or related highly regarded).
- A passion to provide a high standard of customer service.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent negotiation skills.
- A willingness to travel within Australia.
