**Overview**

The Reporting & Insights Analyst designs and delivers enterprise-wide data analytics and reporting solutions. As an integral part of our team you will help our customers identify and solve their problems through the use of data and analytics. You are responsible for interpreting requirements to design and develop insightful analytics and reporting solutions as well as providing expertise and guidance to internal and external customers. This role requires a mix of creativity, attention to detail and a curiosity to find and communicate insights.

**This is a 6 months day rate contracting role. Flexible with Sydney and Melbourne location.**

**Key Accountabilities and main responsibilities**
- Design, develop, and implement innovative and appealing user-friendly reports and dashboards in Power BI
- Contribute to the development of the data analytics self-service capability
- Contribute to the creation of data visualisation standards across the team, enhancing organisational capabilities in data visualisation and associated techniques;
- Executing against the Data and Analytics roadmap, including optimisation of the existing capability as well the introduction of new capabilities
- Identification and implementation of continuous improvement initiatives
- Determining business needs and drivers through stakeholder consultation and collaboration
- Execute complex analytical tasks that provide actionable results to business users.
- Work to truly understand the business of your customers; understand their strategic goals and key issues, and then proactively identify how their data and your product can help them achieve their objectives
- Keep up to date with latest trends and best practices in data analytics and data visualisation tools
- Collaborate and share knowledge with other members of the Data Analytics team to ensure we are always evolving our collective skills and staying on the cutting-edge
- Strong interpersonal skills to engage with people at all levels of the organisation and build strong relationship and trust with clients and internal stakeholders.

**Experience & Personal Attributes**
- Strong data visualisation skills including the ability to deliver clear, targeted and impactful data visualizations and report user experience;
- Experience in building innovative stories in BI tools to identify and communicate business insights to support effective decision-making
- Advanced SQL skills
- Strong data analysis and data interpretation skills with experience extracting and working with raw data
- Experience in translating business requirements to technical/analytical specifications
- Motivated/self-driven with the ability to work independently with minimum supervision
- Expertise in analytics, data mining and creating data visualisations.
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Demonstrated professional experience
- Understanding of predictive/analytical modelling techniques, theories, principle and practices
- Desirable- Skills with of advanced statistical software packages, including usage of Python or R
- Understanding of predictive/analytical modelling techniques, theories, principle and practices
- Tertiary qualification in statistics, mathematics, economics, physics, engineering, computer science or a related discipline
- Experience in Azure
