Now, we are looking for exceptional individuals to join our iCare team as Disability Support Workers. As a part of our team, you will play a crucial role in empowering our Participants to achieve their NDIS goals, gain independence, and thrive as active members of the community. You will have the opportunity to support our Participants through an array of services, including Mental Health, Community Participation and Personal Care.
**The role**
We are currently seeking dedicated and compassionate Disability Support Workers to join our team to support participants on Community access and in home support. If you have experience in mental health, are comfortable with personal cares, and possess a Cert III in Individual Supports or other relevant qualifications, we want to hear from you
**Responsibilities**
- Provide person-centered care and support to individuals with disabilities to access the community.
- Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal cares, meal preparation, and household tasks.
- Support individuals in maintaining their physical and emotional well-being.
- Foster a safe and supportive environment that promotes independence and inclusion.
- Encourage clients to participate in social and recreational activities.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to client care and progress.
**Essential Requirements**
- Shifts will be a minimum of 2 hours and travelling to and from shifts will be a requirement.
- Previous experience in a similar role, with a focus on mental health support.
- Comfortable with providing personal cares to individuals with disabilities.
- Possess a Cert III in Individual Supports or other relevant qualifications (highly desirable).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Compassionate, patient, and respectful approach towards individuals with disabilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Current First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).
- National Police Check clearance, NDIS Worker Screening Check and Working with Children Check (Or willingness to obtain)
- Valid driver's license.

**Job Type**: Casual
**Salary**: $30.61 - $40.26 per hour
Expected hours: 10 - 38 per week
