**Position Overview**:
As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing in-home and community-based support to people with disabilities. Your focus will be on enhancing their independence, wellbeing, and social participation. This role involves delivering tailored support based on individual needs, goals, and preferences, while upholding the values of respect, dignity, and inclusion.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Provide personal care, including assistance with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
- Support clients in their homes with household tasks, such as cleaning, laundry, and shopping.
- Assist clients in accessing the community, attending appointments, participating in social activities, and achieving their goals.
- Implement and follow individual support plans to ensure clients receive consistent and person-centred care.
- Encourage and promote client independence and decision-making.
- Monitor and report any changes in client needs or wellbeing to the relevant supervisor or care team.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of services provided.
- Adhere to workplace health and safety regulations and organisational policies.

**Key Requirements**:

- Certificate III or IV in Disability, Community Services, or a related field (or willingness to obtain).
- Current First Aid and CPR certification.
- Valid Working with Children Check and NDIS Worker Screening Check.
- Current Australian driver’s licence and access to a reliable, insured vehicle.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Empathy, patience, and a commitment to supporting individuals with disabilities.
- Experience working with people with disabilities is highly regarded but not essential.

Pay: $32.42 - $48.60 per hour

Licence/Certification:

- First Aid Certification (preferred)
- Working with Children Check (preferred)
- NDIS Worker Screening Check (preferred)
- National Police Certificate (preferred)
- Driver Licence (preferred)

Work Authorisation:

- Australia (preferred)

Work Location: Hybrid remote in Footscray, VIC 3011
