**About the Role...**

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Payroll Controller to be based in our Head Office at Eastern Creek.

Major responsibilities include;
- Be an integral part of the project team as we integrate and implement the UKG HRIS, Payroll and Time and Attendance software.
- Reconciliation and submission of national payroll tax liability.
- Ensure skills and abilities of all team members are utilised to their best potential.
- Ensure timely remittance of superannuation and PAYG payments.
- Preparation of annual workers compensation workers compensation declarations.
- Review internal processes to improve accuracy and ensure timeliness of the delivery of payroll services.
- Development and maintenance of internal controls to ensure accuracy of Masterfile information.
- Undertake regular reviews and audits of payroll system and processes.
- Ensure the maintenance of confidential employee records.
- Review payrolls for accuracy, variances and adjustments prior to processing of payments.
- Provide regular reporting on various payroll activities, hours paid, costings, etc.
- Provide as requested, reports to senior management

**About You...**

Ideally you will have
- Great interpersonal skills and have had significant experience in a similar role in the past.
- The ability to interpret legislation relevant to taxation, superannuation, workers compensation and modern awards.
- Be computer literate in Microsoft Office programs, especially MS Excel
- Ability to work within strict deadlines and reporting time frames.
- Be keen and enthusiastic with a high level of initiative
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a wider team
- Experience working with commission/bonus based remuneration packages
- Experience working with UKG/Kronos Payroll software would be advantageous
- Formal relevant finance and/or payroll qualifications would be well regarded

You will be required to undergo a pre-employment medical including drug and alcohol testing and must have contactable work references.
