The German-Australian Chamber of Industry and Commerce (AHK) is **seeking** a **pro-active and** **enthusiastic Engagement Manager to develop engagement strategies, leveraging insights to create online and in-person formats that address the needs of our members**for our Sydney office. This is a fantastic opportunity for a **senior engagement** **professional**to join a **growing organisation** with a collaborative and supportive culture. The position is full-time and requires some day and evening function attendance. Due to the time difference with Germany, some business meetings may take place outside of usual business hours.

**Your key responsibilities include but are not limited to the following**:

- Conduct research and data analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and best practices in engagement design and delivery, ensuring alignment with the Chamber’s objectives.
- Develop and manage engagement strategies, leveraging insights to create online and in-person formats that address the needs of members, stakeholders, and the broader community
- Evaluate engagement outcomes through comprehensive analysis, using data to inform recommendations for future improvements.
- Advise on and implement innovative engagement formats, with a focus on digitalisation and enhancing membership value while fostering a prospective member pipeline.
- Provide advice on organisational methods, policies, and operational efficiencies to optimise engagement planning and execution processes.
- Streamline workflows, ensuring high-quality outcomes and efficient resource utilisation.
- Organise and structure information for marketing initiatives, ensuring clarity and consistency in messaging.
- Liaison with and monitoring of external suppliers/partners
- Support with financial management of budget and forecast and budgeting - ensuring that agreed financial targets are met.
- Support intern selection and onboarding process, ensuring smooth integration into the Chamber’s operations.
- Support general office administration, with a focus on enhancing organisational efficiency and data management.

Reporting directly to Deputy Executive Director and Head of Operations and Corporate Development.

**Requirements for job**:

- A relevant tertiary qualification at the Bachelor or Masters’ degree level is required.
- At least two years’ work experience in a multifaceted stakeholder engagement role
- Due to the membership and activities of _AHK Australien_ - Excellent written and oral communication skills and presentation skills in both **German and English** are required
- An interest in German Australian bilateral relations
- Ability to co-ordinate complex activities
- Communicate effectively with peers, stakeholders, partners and speakers to ensure the successful engagement delivery
- Ability to work as part of a small team with a strong customer service focus.
- Ability to handle tight deadlines and to plan ahead
- Professional manner
- Being outgoing and open-minded
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- The position occasionally requires presence at membership events outside of normal working hours.

Pay: $85,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
