An exciting opportunity exists for an **Injury Management Advisor** to be an integral member of our growing Risk and Compliance Team. Your prime focus centres around injury management and prevention activities including WHS education and training.

This **newly created role** provides an excellent opportunity for someone looking to manage a portfolio of workplace injuries and Workers Compensation claims to proactively facilitate a resolution so that employees can return to work as soon as possible.

**What will you do?**
- Proactively coordinate workplace injuries and Workers Compensation claims; including processing of claims, reimbursements and representing ECMS at conciliations
- Ensure that ECMS meets its obligations and promotes healthy, supportive workplace practices that centres on early intervention and return to work.
- Conduct regular reviews to develop a holistic and strategic case management plan for each claim, in consultation with key stakeholders.
- Identify opportunities and implement recommendations to improve injury management processes, including training and coaching service managers on legislative obligations and the benefits of early intervention for injured workers
- Actively engage with the Safety Team to identify corrective and preventative actions and strategies
- Prepare and provide analysis and interpretation of injury management data

**You will need to **
- A Tertiary qualification and/or demonstrated experience in Occupational Health and Safety, HR Management or Return to Work management
- Return to Work Coordinator Certification
- Demonstrated knowledge of, including ability to interpret and implement, the WIRC Act 2013, and working knowledge of the OH&S Act 2004.
- Current knowledge of WorkCover claims management systems and best practice concepts and demonstrated Return to Work management experience.
- Demonstrated experience working with professionals such as occupational rehabilitation providers, medical specialists, allied health staff, WorkSafe Victoria and WorkCover Insurance agents
- Have highly developed interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills with the ability to lead, negotiate and provide advice on workers compensation claims management and rehabilitation
- Be able to work within a team and autonomously where needed to achieve required outcomes within specified deadlines/time frames
- A satisfactory and current WWCC and Police Check
