**The team**:
You will join our Technical Claims team, working with a carefully selected team of people who take pride in their decision making and cost control.
**What you’ll do**
- Manage a portfolio of Home and Motor large loss and complex claims
- Investigate complex claims to ensure only valid claims are approved in the fastest possible time
- Manage vulnerable customers
- Ensure that Code of Practice and regulatory requirements are adhered to
- Assist the claims team with decision making on complex matters
- Assist in system update projects by providing feedback on their implementation and functionality
- Continuously review and update processes where required
**What we’d like**
- 4+ years experience in General Insurance with 2 years from a technical background Strong negotiator and understanding of GICOP and Insurance Contracts Act
- You are a complex problem solver and can demonstrate how each part of the insurance value chain impacts each other. You use these skills to work across the organisation to deliver fastest and cheapest insurance
- You can demonstrate complex decision making to minimise leakage
- You set the example by demonstrating what great customer experience looks and feels like, and when faced with tricky situations you’ve got the ability to still reach great outcomes.
- You’ve built on top of your existing skills and now are able to condense and simplify your messages so customers can understand you more easily.
- Even though you’re getting through a lot of work at an efficient pace, you’re able to still make very little errors
- You’re able to escalate less because you’re able to use great judgement in tricky situations
