**About the Role**
A fantastic opportunity exists for a Head of Regulatory Engagement, to join BOQ’s Group Risk team

This role has the primary accountability for the oversight and management of BOQ Group’s interactions, engagements and communication with key financial and prudential regulators.

This includes leading a team to produce and govern information being reported to regulators and disseminate information and correspondence issued by regulators. Furthermore, a critical component of the role is monitoring commitments to regulators and effectively engaging with key stakeholders across the business to report meaningfully, accurately and in a timely manner to maintain positive and transparent relationship with regulators.

The role will be accountable for facilitating and overseeing the Group’s responses to day-to-day queries and requests from regulators as well as preparing onsite reviews by any regulators, and the governance and management of regulatory meeting cadence. This will include both business partnering to ensure the right information is reported to regulators, and the administration of meetings.

You will support executive and senior management on regulatory governance matters and in all engagements with regulators, including recording of key points, minutes and any resulting actions.

Our Head of will have excellent written communication skills as you will be developing and preparing relevant regulatory reports and papers to Business, Executive and Board Committees, as well as reviewing and analysing communications for provision of updates (and potential impacts to BOQ) to relevant stakeholders in addition to Management/Board committees.

**About you**

Naturally you will have strong experience in a similar role, including knowledge in banking and financial services legislations, regulations and prudential obligations including market, operational and credit risk. Experience in working with a financial regulator would be viewed favourably.

We are looking for an excellent communicator, with the capacity to initiate and lead conversations with executive, business leaders and risk management colleagues.

You will have a strong eye for detail and take accountability in getting the details right while remaining aware of the bigger picture that you will have gained with prior experience in a business, risk, regulatory, compliance roles within financial services.

With a demonstrated ability to work in a small team and collaboratively across multiple business functions, you will also have top-tier interpersonal and stakeholder management skills, with a proven ability to build effective working relationships.
