Security Operations Specialist

**Location**: Deakin ACT, Melbourne VIC, Rockingham/Midland Perth
We are proud to partner with a renowned federal government client in the search for a Senior Cyber Security Specialist to assist in the delivery of technical capabilities for their SOC, scoping and implementing technical solutions to uplift SOC capabilities. With a large footprint the SOC is critical to protecting important information and data.
**The right person for this role will have**:
- Demonstrated expertise in Cyber Threat Intelligence (CTI), including curating and optimizing threat feeds, researching emerging threats and trends, integrating threats into operational platforms and reporting
- Experience in operating Vulnerability Management platforms within an enterprise environment, covering Cloud systems, Endpoints, Network infrastructure, Producing detailed reports
- Proven skills in enterprise-scale SIEM engineering, with a focus on identifying, planning, and implementing enhancements to the agency's threat landscape
- Familiarity with cyber threat modelling techniques, including:
- Developing system-specific use cases
- Crafting monitoring strategies
- Creating cybersecurity incident response plans
- Extensive experience with cloud security tools and platforms, such as SIEM, SOAR, Endpoint Security, AWS, Azure, O365
- Experience working with federal government security standards/concepts. Delivering requirements and the relevant documentation accordingly.
- Citizenship mandatory, Baseline clearance and above highly desirable
