Leading Government client in Canberra is looking for a ICT Security Specialist on a 12 months contract + possible extension, APPLY NOW

Responsibilities ;
- Security Specialist must undertake ICT security asssesments of classified systems in accordance with the requirements of Government and Defence security policies, procedures and guidelines (including but not limited to the PSPF, ISM and DSPF) ,under the direction of the Director of Cyber Security Assessments and Authorisation (CSAA)
- Provide specialist ICT Security advice and guidance to stakeholders to define the scope of a security assessment on the assessment process and any documentary requirements.
- Assess the effectiveness of security controls for a system and its operating environment
- For each system assessed produce a report that details the assessment including
- 1. Scope
- 2.Security strengths and weaknesses
- 3. Security risks
- 4. Effectiveness of security controls
- 5. Recommended remediation actions.
- Attend meetings and workshops as required to provide ICT Security advice and guidance to stakeholders and customers
- Contribute to reporting and briefing requirements of CSAA.
- Adhere to Defence, ICT Security Branch and Directorate of Integrated Risk Management Governance principles and practices.
- Support and be actively involved in the security scoping and planning for the project, with focus on ensuring optimised solutions that deliver Defence HR and Services to be provided Payroll capability with approved timelines.
- Establish security measures protect official information and resources commensurate with the sensitivity of the Project information and systems associated with security risks.
- Ensure the project complies with all applicable project security mandates, security controls and best practises.
- Work positively in a team environment and must have the capacity to accommodate the project demands.
