**The Company**

AgriFutures is a statutory rural Research and Development Corporation (RDC), responsible for funding Research and Development (R&D) and related extension activities, on behalf of primary producers. They deliver programs for established and emerging industries and also programs that address both current and future challenges and important issues for Australian agriculture including evokeAG. and growAG.

Placing people at the centre of everything they do, they listen, connect, and collaborate domestically and globally, with emerging leaders in agriculture, industry bodies, other RDC’s and government.

**The Position**
Reporting directly to the Manager Commercialisation, this exciting and newly created role will have a direct impact on Agrifutures Five-Year Strategic Plan, focussing on Priority 8, ‘Identifying new revenue streams’ for primary producers and the broader agriculture industry. Non-traditional revenue streams. [AF1] [PV2]

As a new role, if successful you will have direct line of site to the Plan and take accountability and ownership to craft the plans to achieve the objectives in Priority 8. A highly visible role with Agrifutures and the industry, you will make impact by working closely with stakeholders at many levels to identify diversifies and non-traditional revenue streams. You will initiate, develop, and manage a strategy, program(s), and project(s) to identify and introduce such opportunities.

Through your understanding of farming production practices, you will listen to farmers and the broader sector and gather revenue opportunities, test the viability of these opportunities, and turn this intel into actionable and deliverable programs. In the context of farming, your ability to manage stakeholders, handle budgets and run operational plans is critical to your success.

**The Person**

To be successful in this busy, but very rewarding position, you will possess the following skills and attributes:

- ideally 5+ years’ experience in a similar role supported by relevant tertiary qualifications (business, economics or related)
- demonstrated skills in multilevel stakeholder relations, both commercial and government
- exceptional time management, project, and program management skills - ensuring milestones are achieved and tasks don’t fall through the cracks
- an entrepreneurial spirit and agricultural background understanding farming production practice
- sharp communication skills (both written and verbal), with the ability to work with industry across Australia - this is a National role
- used to working in a compliance focused environment where process alignment is critical
- by nature, be highly organised with advanced Microsoft Office Suite skills
