About the Role:
As a Safety Officer/Auditor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety of Texel Air operations within the commercial aviation sector. Reporting to the Director of Safety, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining safety programs, policies, and procedures. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Developing and maintaining safety policies and procedures specific to the commercial aviation sector.
- Conducting regular safety audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and areas for improvement.
- Performing risk assessments and developing effective mitigation strategies.
- Investigating and analyzing incidents, accidents, and near-miss events to recommend corrective actions.
- Collaborating with various stakeholders to proactively identify and address safety concerns.
- Monitoring and evaluating safety performance indicators and generating reports.
- Coordinating and delivering safety training programs to ensure employees are well-informed and competent in safety procedures.
- Staying up-to-date with relevant aviation safety regulations, industry standards, and emerging safety technologies.
- Fostering a culture of safety excellence through promoting safety awareness and participation in safety committees and initiatives.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Essential qualifications in SMS, Occurrence Investigation, and Aviation Auditing.
- A bachelor’s degree in aviation safety is advantageous.
- Preferably hold an ICAO Pt 61/66 licence.
- Familiarity with regulatory frameworks such as CASA regulations in Australia and NZ Civil Aviation Regulations.
- At least three years of experience in a safety-related role within the commercial aviation sector.
- Experience conducting safety audits, inspections, incident investigations, and risk assessments.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to identify trends, analyze data, and generate meaningful reports.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.

Pay: $95,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
