**About the role**:
We are looking for SMT Production Assistant / PCB Tester to join our SMT production team in Hallam, Melbourne.

**Required skills and qualifications**:
**Key Responsibilities**:

- Perform test procedures using the company's automated test equipment
- Assist with feeders setup validation and inspection the first article built by SMT lines against its BOM
- Repair and replace faulty components as necessary or record failure reason and pass to SMT Engineer for further investigation
- Operate AOI and X-ray machine for visual inspection
- Maintain a high quality of work performance and use good work habits to ensure that the troubleshooting process is successful
- Explain and demonstrate testing procedures to other team members
- Coordinate with SMT production supervisor to prioritize daily work schedule
- Perform other related tasks as assigned

**Skill Requirements**:

- 2-3 years experience in SMT Workshop Production Environment
- Ability to read and interpret Bills of Materials
- Excellent soldering skills
- Solid knowledge of electronic component identification
- Working knowledge/understanding of the IPC-A-610 standard
- Ability to follow procedures and instructions
- Use of fine tools and microscopes (stereo and digital)
- Understanding of OH&S requirements
- Strong time management to complete tasks to scheduled time frames
- Good grasp of English language
