AMCL ANZ is structured around three practice areas, namely two sector agnostic practices which are Asset Management and Digital & Asset Information, plus our Sector Advisory practice which supports our clients with technical expertise and deep industry sector knowledge. Your role will be to establish and grow Sector Advisory Practice and team across Power, Rail and Water.
On the back of sustained growth, and ongoing delivery success with our clients, we are recruiting for an _Associate Director to join the team._
Your role includes project delivery oversight and business development; however, we expect that most of the business development will follow on from your team’s exceptional work combined with our leading reputation.
In addition to sector advisory projects, you will liaise with the leaders of the Asset Management and Digital & Asset Information practices on joint projects where strong sector expertise is required to supplement our clients’ internal capabilities.

- Scope, win and oversee the delivery of sector advisory client engagements
- Identify new market and consulting opportunities based on your understanding of the sectors and the environment, such as regulation.
- Develop follow on opportunities with the clients your team works with, and with other clients, through spreading our leading reputation;
- Shape, direct and oversee the growth of the advisory service lines related to the rail and power sector;
- Guide and support the wider Asia Pacific and the global team with your sector knowledge, strategic thinking and insight; and
- Mentor and support the development of your team; and
- Support our sector agnostic Practice Areas Asset Management and Digital & Asset Information, delivering their service lines to a greater depth.
**Qualifications**:
- A successful track record of providing advisory consulting to infrastructure businesses within regulated industries.
- Degree Qualified in an Engineering discipline (or equivalent industry experience).
- 15+ years of experience working with asset-intensive organisations.
- Experience such that you are capable of operating effectively within a consulting business.
- General management function within the sector advisory practice.
- Demonstrable commitment to and skills for developing the performance of colleagues.
- Excellent stakeholder management, business networking and communication skills.
- Understanding of the regulatory environment specific to power utilities and/or rail operators.
- Takes personal responsibility for own work and the work of colleagues, ensuring that it is always of a high standard.
- Willingness to commit the additional time and effort necessary during periods of heavy workload in order to deliver high quality outputs, agreed milestones and deadlines.
