**About this Position**:
Covering four local government areas Lismore City, Byron Shire, Ballina Shire, Tweed Shire, RTRL has a simple mission:

With 12 branches and a mobile library that visits the villages and rural communities, the Business Manager will lead a passionate, vibrant, dedicated team of professionals.

As the Business Manager, you will lead the library's operations across the Richmond Tweed Region. Collaborating with stakeholders, you’ll develop and implement strategic plans and budgets that enhance service delivery. Your leadership will empower teams to deliver exceptional programs, initiatives, and community partnerships.

This dynamic, hands-on role involves traveling across the Northern Rivers Region to build strong relationships with individuals, businesses, and community organisations. You'll work to align with the goals of member councils, drive innovation, and promote a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.

- Provide strategic advice, implement business improvements, and drive RTRL’s operational success.
- Ensure compliance with service level agreements and enhance community-focused services.
- Lead and support library staff, fostering a professional and high-performing work environment.
- Develop and oversee annual business plans, budgets, and performance reports.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to drive customer-centric initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with legislative requirements in procurement, contracts, and workplace health and safety.
- Cultivate a culture of innovation and accountability within the library network.

**What you will need to be successful**:

- Tertiary qualification in business, leadership, or a related discipline.
- Proven leadership experience in managing multi-site operations and strategic planning.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Financial acumen with experience in budget development and management.
- Commitment to fostering a collaborative and community-focussed environment.
- Strong understanding of compliance and governance frameworks.
