- As Australia’s largest independent community foundation, Lord Mayor’s Charitable Foundation (LMCF) leads innovative and inspired philanthropy to create positive social change. This includes granting, community engagement, partnerships, research, sharing knowledge, influencing policy and impact investment.
- Annually, the Foundation provides grants of $12 million to not-for-profit organisations throughout Greater Melbourne to increase life opportunities and promote social inclusion. Key impact areas include: Homelessness & Affordable Housing; Inclusive, Sustainable Economy & Jobs; Health & Climate Resilient Communities; Generous Melbourne; and Environment & Sustainability.
- Reporting the General Manager - Fund Development, this is a wonderful opportunity to play a pivotal role as a Major Gifts Specialist for LMCF.
- Areas of focus include:_
- Supporting the Board and Executive team to identify and secure major gifts
- Coordinating the Board, Executive team and Committees to discuss and leverage fundraising opportunities
- Assist with regular reporting of data and fundraising pipelines to the Board and Leadership team
- Managing a portfolio of approximately 100 current and warm prospective donors
- Preparing and updating prospect files for potential donors

About you

Experience
- Blackbaud Raiser’s Edge experience preferred
- Experience leading major gifts fundraising programs, and experience with a comprehensive, capital or capacity campaign is beneficial
- Experience in securing strategic gifts, ideally six and/or seven figure gifts
- Good network and understanding of the wealth advise industry and their role in promoting philanthropy
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in one of the Foundation’s impact areas; or in philanthropy, finance or NFP studies. CFRE (Certified Fund Raising Executive) highly regarded
