**ABOUT THE ROLE**

This is an exciting time for us, as we have a new opportunity for a Venue Business Specialist to join our Events & Operations team. The successful Venue Business Specialist will sit in a newly created role and will be responsible for supporting the management and servicing of venue hire and government agency agreements nationally, ensuring compliance, operational, and strong commercial returns for Australian Cricket.

Reporting to the Head of Venues and Legal Projects, you’ll also be responsible for:

- Managing international cricket government agency agreements to ensure Cricket Australia meets its deliverables.
- Maintaining a register of venue hire and cricket agreements to ensure compliance protect Australian Cricket’s interests.
- Developing and maintaining a guide for venue hire agreements to ensure efficient operations and to guide stakeholders.
- Monitoring event P&Ls in collaboration with members of the Events & Operations Department and the annual review of opportunities to drive revenue growth and cost efficiencies.
- Actively participating in state and territory working group meetings and functional planning meetings for international cricket, Big Bash, or domestic cricket as needed.
- Other ad-hoc support for the Head of Venues and Legal Projects as required.

**WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR**

The successful Venue Business Specialist will have outstanding stakeholder relationship skills and business partnership capability. You will also have:

- Relevant Tertiary qualification preferred but not essential
- Sound knowledge of contracts and experience in managing contractual rights and obligations
- Experience working in sport, major events or venues
- Strong organisational skills
- Ability to adapt to rapidly changing situations/environments, able to balance multiple priorities and remain focused and clear minded
- Demonstrated commercial acumen, collaboration, and creative thinking skills as well as excellent analytical, verbal, and written communication skills
- An eagerness to learn and collaborate across Cricket Australia
- Be based in Melbourne, Victoria (preferred)
