**THE COMPANY**

This well-established tree nursery located in the Southern Highlands, NSW specialising in deciduous ornamental and evergreen trees and hedging for trade and retail customers. The nursery grows over 150 different species in sizes from 200mm to 2,000 litre.

Owned and operated by a beautiful down-to-earth family they will want you to become part of their family.

With your help the business has potential to grow to further service the expanding development corridor between Sydney and Canberra. With this growth comes opportunity to expand the management team.

**THE ROLE**

Manage all facets of farm production to deliver consistent quality stock supply. Communicate, motivate and lead by example to foster a positive culture of productivity and quality workmanship.

You must have a strong work ethic, be resourceful, proactive and motivated to improve processes, systems and drive positive outcomes.

The culture will suit a friendly, consultative leadership style with experience in coaching and developing others to adopt a ‘can do’ attitude. As well as someone who takes pride in their work and combines meticulous attention to detail with a broad vision of what is needed to achieve professional and business success.

You will need a proven track record managing projects and a guiding a team with a hands-on attitude to get the job done. You will love to be outdoors and communicate, motivate and lead by example to foster a positive culture of productivity and quality workmanship.

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Work with Director to determine short and long-term production goals
- Manage 5 staff
- Drive improvement through process innovation and staff development
- Develop weekly work plans for production team
- Ensure quality tree standards eg NATSPEC
- Manage OH&S policies and safety procedures

**MANAGEMENT DUTIES**:

- Execute stock management plans to ensure consistent plant availability and quality
- Maintenance plans for Weeding, Spraying, Fertilising, Pruning
- Mentor production team and individual employee efficiency, productivity and work quality
- Communication and liaison with Sales team
- Farm infrastructure improvements and maintenance

**THE REQUIREMENTS**
- Horticulture qualifications and/or nursery industry / landscaping / arborist experience
- Computer literacy in Microsoft Excel Spreadsheet
- People management experience
- Efficient time management
- MR license preferred (or ability to obtain)
- Monday - Friday: 7:30am-4:00pm

**REMUNERATION & LOCATION**
- Base salary based on experience + attitude
- Performance Bonus Scheme in place for the Production team
- Potential work vehicle access and/or fuel allowance
- Southern Highlands, NSW
